Mmmm. A Brief History of Nearly Everything is on my rec to everybody ALL THE TIME because it is AMAZING short list. if you haven't gotten to that one yet. Also, The Mother tongue: English and How It Got That Way. <3

I think I've read pretty much everything, except The Thunderbolt Kid. He's very engaging and comes across as a delightful human being, the kind you'd just love to sit down and have a beer with, yeah? :D

And what do you mean, you couldn't get into the Elenium? The Elenium had Sparhawk! Sparhawk was incredibly interesting, and Flute and Ehlana and Sephrenia were all ladies who kicked ass and took names in their own ways, and and and. I liked that series. Yeah.

AND POLGARA. OMG. POLGARA (and Beldaran ~<3) I love them all! Seriously. In the Mallorean when we found out one of the questees was going to die for reals I couldn't bear it.
