Suicide Squad exhibition in TO

If you didn't know already Suicide Squad filmed here last year and pretty much made a nuisance of themselves while here, shutting down major streets and causing a lot of commuter headaches for Torontonians. Then Batmobile made it's run down Yonge street. Suddenly the film shoot and TO denizens were fast friends and a lot of the private grumbling ( Read more... )

I don't think I'll go see the movie, it's not really my cup of tea. I only know about the Suicide Squad as it was a theme in Arrow once.

But that is certainly nice that they did that, and the props look cool! What exactly do you mean with "Then Batmobile made it's run down Yonge street."? Was it slowly going along the street, so people could look at it and take pictures, or was it still for a scene?

Back in the 1990 we once had the K.I.T.T. car from Knight Rider in the city. I think I posted pictures once.

The Batmobile was for the film shoot...it's in the movie. I'm told that there is a lot of references in Suicide Squad to the previous movie Batman vs Superman (which was too long & just a set up for The Justice League). I haven't seen SS...not sure if I will bother tbt. It's not really my cup of tea but the exhibit was pretty cool. I'm only interested in the upcoming Aquaman movie (I'm sure I've mentioned that I love Aquaman as a kid and Jason Momoa is one of my fav actors) and the others are on a maybe basis. I'm tired of superhero movies as you know. I think you feel the same way?

Yeah, it's all there seems to be recently. Between the Avengers and all its single movies and the Fantastic Four and then the X-men, there does not seem to be much else? I'm sure it will die down one day.

I really did enjoy "Star Trek Beyond" though!

I had a Superman phase a while ago. I really loved "Lois & Clark" and then also read the comics for a while.

It's great when you can have your favorite actor playing your favorite character. Double-win! Jason Momoa is one of the few Stargate people I have never met.

I like dramas and biographies, especially when they are about real people. I saw the trailer about the Michelle and Barack Obama movie, that looks nice.

Star Trek Beyond was BRILLIANT. Loved it. Jayla was fantastic and I mention in my review I hope they keep her for the new movies to come.

I've not met JM but I did attend his panel last year at Fan Exp...he's adorable but a little eccentric which is fine (I like eccentric) but by the end of it I was wondering if the Moderator was going to have to reign him in or not but he kept it pretty tame for the kids in the audience! I have pics. He'll always be my Ronon Dex from Stargate and now my Aquaman \o/

I bet you would love our International Film Festival (TIFF) held every year in September.
