i dug the excerpt a lot. i will admit a terminal impatience w/ learning diff. writers' patoises, which made my brief foray into philosophical studies an aggravating one (c.f. ripping stupid Nietzsche in HALF, flinging at wall), but i like excerpts served up contextually by people i trust.

i'm sure this is some kind of academic defect, but whatever.
