We just got back from a weekend camping with my mom's family. I think we both actually had a pretty good time. We were also hit by a storm on Friday, and our tent leaked...that sucked, Matt had to string a tarp up during the night and there was a puddle in the front of the tent by morning- the thunder and lightening kept us up most of the night

And I ended up dropping the essentials (milk, cheese, tofu) off at Sarah's, so no worries about the call. My power came back on at 8:15 AM on Sunday. Crazy.

At least the storm we were caught in wasn't windy. It was hard to sleep because of the noise and light (but that wasn't helped by the really drunk and loud boys nearby...), but I stayed dry. Matt got dripped on a bit, which is why he put the tarp up, but then there were no more problems. The water that came in the front didn't get anything other than a pair of dirty socks wet.
I hope I haven't put you off camping!! What are your thoughts on the weekend? If we don't go, and if Matt can get Friday afternoon off, we might *possibly* try to go up to Voyagers National Park...I had told him we could go to the Boundary Waters this summer, but that isn't happening! We do want to do the LWord soon though, and have plans to cook another fake chicken pot pie to share with you and Jessie! :)
