I have had a lovely weekend. Finally recovered from the sleeplessness of Kapcon, I was actually quite active.

Christmas is mostly over for another year. We have our Wellington one to go yet, on New Year's Day, but all the family ones are over. Merry Christmas everyone!

The rain has stopped, probably temporarily, presents have been opened and appreciated, chocolate has been consumed, sister and hubby have departed and it's nearly lunchtime. Lunch is going to be rotisserie chicken cooked on the BBQ.

After lunch we're off to have Christmas with my mum's side of the family.

Lovely to be in Tauranga. Have been swimming. The fiancee is lovely. Very hot and muggy. Good to see granparents and cousins and everyone behaved. Carol service fun. Busy tomorrow.

Bed now.

Every year, it seems I put off packing until after 10.00pm the night before I go. This year, it's not on purpose.

Have sat the first exam - Introduction to Legal Systems - and my brain is resenting the idea of getting back into studying straight away. It seems I've suddenly snapped out of the haze of tiredness I was in for the last few weeks, which is really good. Meant to (and forgot) to call the doctor today to find out the results of my blood test; I guess that's what happens when I don't note it down on my calender at work.
