In a beautiful stroke of randomness, I'd just like to say that I knew what cochineals were, and how they make a beautiful maroon colored dye, before CSI even aired.

*snerk* Same here--well, except the source. Signs you have done too much research into historic fiber preparation... :-)

In other news--have you seen the promo for next week's ep--or heard the chatter on the "Your Tax Dollars At Work" board. Oh. Em. Gee. We have got to cath up with the canon timeline, cause Goddamn that would be too much fun to pass up. Well, depending.

I could tell you some passed down horror stories of dyeing with indigo... and where the expression 'you haven't got a pot to piss in' comes from ;) By the way, a friend of mine in AZ is big into knitting, and she's bought her own sheep farm. She's getting a llama soon. I think you two need to talk.

Semi-OT: At work, I saw someone wearing a CSI sweatshirt, and I thought of you. The guy laughed and told me he doesn't actually work at the CSI I was thinking of. Sucks.
