So the first time the (extremely nice and helpful) nurse put my IV in, she got it in just peachy (ow ow ow!), but then it popped out. OW. She did a second one, since although the first was still giving plenty of blood (nng), they were also planning on using the IV to give me fluids and medication, as well. I'm so sorry this is happening to you! I hope they can take it out soon if that's what you want. My and RoaminUmp's best wishes are with you and the boy, and if you need anything give us a call immediately!

My boss was also very non-sanguine about gall bladder surgery. He went on a non-fat diet for over a year to stall having it. He was really paranoid about the surgery. By the time they finally took it out, it was gangrenous. But I know he was really glad when it was out.
