See, that's what I decided to do once I hit the Steppe - to wait until post-game to do those optional Hunt Missions. I was leveled up enough to be able to survive the fights I accidentally got into while I was searching for the entrance to the Maw of the Abyss last week, thank God. I ran into one of those flying bat/bird things and I couldn't get out of fighting it, even on Retry. It just put me right back at the start, so it wasn't like I could try to run or use a Shroud. Had to Paradigm Shift to Combat Clinic a few times, but killed it and managed two stars

I didn't really level up until the game told me to... But, by the time I got to Chapter 12, I had maxed out 2 of the 3 specializations on all the characters
