I got a major reminder of my mortality this weekend with the passing of one of my high school classmates.

I didn't know her very well. We got along but never hung out outside of choir and the school musicals. Allison would go on to graduate, become a teacher, go through some really rough times and rise above them all, and earn the respect and love
