Selectadisc no longer exists! I've obviously not been to Berwick Street for ages. However it has only been cosmetically replaced by - or possibly just rebranded as - something called Sister Ray. No, but the entire structure is self-aware and able to reconfigure itself at will when it detects the presence of a "newcomer".

Yeah, that would be excellent. I was told the whole thing had sold out so seating is fine. Buy me a restricted view circle ticket the moment you read this.

Next to the Music & Video Exchange, which last time I was there (2004) had expanded into the shopfront next door. Opposite where Ambient Soho used to be, but a few shopfronts towards Oxford St.
If it's now where Selectadisc used to be (another block or two towards Oxford St) then maybe it's just taken over the much bigger space that Selectadisc used to have.
I certainly went to Sister Ray when I first remember visiting London record stores properly in 1999.

There aren't any "blocks" in London, heathen. But yeah, it has eaten Selectadisc and made absolutely no changes apart from the name. It's funny that I don't remember Sister Ray: I used to do Berwick Street - Selectadisc, Reckless, Mr CD - at least twice a week between 1998 - 2001. Then again, anything south of Broadwick Street is for pornographers and grocers.
