Today is bright and sunny and crisp, almost autumnal. Nice after the last two days of wind and rain. It's been too warm to get the snow from the blizzard, but boy, did we get the wind, and the electricity was on and off all afternoon. It was out for the longest stretch for an hour and a half, which is not bad compared to what we used to get in

Now there's a terrifying thought!
His fingers are freakily long. And yet, very beautiful, even though he looks like he could work with them. It's a weird effect. He's quite chameleonic that way. People who think he can't play elegant and even effete, they've clearly never seen Othello.

Thank you! I loved it to, from the minute I saw it, and glommed on. It's not the world's most flattering picture of him, but I loved the colours, the Gallifreyan text, the ambiguous/multi-layered expression, and the fragment of the speech that hooked me. In large part, because I've always been fascinated by the idea that we're on a planet, moving so fast, but we can't really feel it, so that speech has always felt very personal.

His hands are just massive... and that's really hot for some reason. I love the tree frog comparison. You have a great way with words.

It's from that Celebrity Pig documentary. He's being very sincere (and also a bit shiny in places - which I love, because it's very clear he's not got any make-up on). I understand what you mean about the casual look. Most of the time, he just looks "regular guy", although occasionally he has ventured out in clothes that I wouldn't wear to the mailbox.

It is. Also a bit freaky. And tree-froggish. But they're great hands, both elegant and "work-ready". And HUGE. I like his weird proportions, everything seems a bit exaggerated, but he's able to make it work so well. I'm betting his teenaged years were a trial, though, getting used to those long legs and big hands.

I agree, growing up might have sucked for him. Getting all the pieces to fit together is hard enough. Still, I'd love to see or hear some commentary from his stints as an artist's model. I would imagine he'd be a good subject to draw because he is so visually interesting.

I'm not a nightowl, as such, but I too hate daylight. I love darkness and drawn curtains.

BTW, been meaning to ask - is Lacey any particular breed?

She is indeed. She's a Norfolk Terrier.
Not to be confused with the Norwich Terrier which is identical but it has ears that stand up (like the spire of Norwich Cathedral - which is one of those 'tips' to remembering differences), whereas Norfolk's ears hang down.
