an unfortunate update

on the morning of September 10, 2005 my father passed away after having had successfull surgery for prostate cancer. He had done well and was recovering quite nicely. I, luckily, do not feel like important words were not spoken before it happened. I knew he cared about me, and he knew I cared about him; I visited him in the hospital to show my support every day, and he told me how important it was to him that I did that. So, while I may never understand what happened or why, I do feel like there was good closure with his life. and that helps

I know from experience how jarring the sudden loss of a father can be - I hope you find peace.

slowly but surely. I am comforted with the knowledge that he, oddly enough, took care of all the important things before he left. we connected better than we ever had before two weeks prior to the incident, as did everyone close w/ him.
