an unfortunate update
on the morning of September 10, 2005 my father passed away after having had successfull surgery for prostate cancer. He had done well and was recovering quite nicely. Well enough to have been sent home from the hospital. He came home on sept. 9 and spent the night well. In the morning after getting ready for the day he thought that he would take a walk w/ his wife, my stepmom to get some fresh air. He took a moment to sit before their walk, and within seconds he had passed away. None of us really know why he passed away like that after he was doing so well with the surgery; there were no problems and he was feeling much more like himself than he had when he had gone in to have his surgery done.
The hardest part is that it was so unexpected and that there seems to be no real rhyme or reason for his passing. I have a hard time coming up with the words to express how I feel; this event has not been easy. This is a very big turning point in my life.
I hope that all my friends are doing well out there.
