More reading and other preoccupations

There's not too much going on this past week. More reading for my viva. Lots of reading. Trying to refresh my memory of things that I have already read, as well as catch up on contemporary debates and more recent publications. My eyes feel like dropping out and my brain feels scrambled at the end of the day. Still, it's all strangely satisfying, ( Read more... )

How much did Daniel buy it for? Wondering whether it's cheaper here (with the January sales now on) or in Singapore.

he got some special lens so came up to S$3k. erm my bro bought the same one too but with the 'normal lens'. I'm quite an idiot with all the technicalities actually.

i need to find out my bro's then i tell u. btw they bought it in HK....slightly cheaper.

I do wonder what I'll be doing with all my pretty boxes and containers and the like when I am back in Sg for good... because I seriously doubt I'll be packing bento so religiously when there's so much good and cheap food around!

i also wonder. i mean...i like packing stuff every once in awhile..but for all the hassle, it's like more worth just paying S$2-3 for lunch and be done with it. That being said, i never realy mind bringing lunch to work - with or without fancy containers. esp when there used to be mum's home-cooked food.

sighz...those were the days...

Smiley faces! There are smiley faces on your food! I'm feeling very inadequate right now :-p

(You finished your dissertation and work on some very fancy food creations. I NEVER cook and I feel like I will never have a completed dissertation in my hands. I can't use "too much work" as an excuse for not cooking, because look at YOU!)

:-p

Seriously, that's some pretty neat-looking food, well done!

The smiley faces always get people, heh :) And there's really nothing mysterious or difficult about cooking, it just takes some effort. I get a kick out of seeing your pictures of digging on the sites as well, and I think that's awesome :D
