Saturday, what can I tell you about our Saturday adventures? Apparently over 7,00 words, all below and under the relevant cuts. There might even been some pictures!
Sounds like so much fun! :D Now I'm kinda jealous I don't live anywhere near New Zealand... though Austria is pretty close to Australia, right? haha! *drumbeat* the only convention I've been to so far has been one of Supernatural in Germany, was pretty awesome too though :3 Karl really sounds lovely, haha xD I think on one hand it's so great to have the chance to meet him and on the other hand it probably makes one sad that you don't have him (or all the other awesome people) as regular friends :x
Np! Until a while ago, I didn't even think much about conventions etc because I was so used to it that there was nothing like that nearby and wasn't really aware of their existence. But then through the modern internet and youtube etc you start watching those clips and get jealous, haha. Recently, I really wish I had more opportunities to visit such events. I can imagine that this convention was a great first experience for you. :)
Ohh, cool, did you go on vacation here? I loved Vienna as a city when I was younger (didn't always live here), and it is a pretty cool city with so much culture, but I'd wish I could get to see different locations too, like... a friend was in Brisbane for one year. :x Haha, the no kangaroos shirts are great XD
I love it when actors are big geeks / kids themselves. xD
Yeah I was like you about being a little ho hum about conventions, but my friend Clarrisani was the one to keep at me to come along, as she has gone to all the Supanova conventions in Melbourne since they started!
Yes, I have been to Vienna twice on vacation. First time was when I was five and my parents took me to Europe. When I went back as an adult I had to go to the Schonbrun Palace again because I was sure I remembered a room from when I was little. Sure enough on the tour, I walked into a room and was all oooh I remember this one. I lived in the UK for nearly two years a little while ago, so took a lot of opportunities to travel around Europe on weekend getaways. There is still so much I want to see that I didn't.
I will take lots of pictures :D I should put up some more convention pictures from one I went to earlier this year. Hmmm, might get onto that later.

I have been to Austria (Vienna and loved it!) and laughed at the signs in the tourist shops about 'no kangaroos'.
Karl was so lovely and he is a big kid and big geek himself.
I am going to the US shortly to attend San Diego Comic Con, I can't wait! And there will be lots of photos etc. I promise :D
