It is canon in TOS about Bones being such a prankster in college and still having a fondness for them. I was trying to show the development of their friendship through the pranks, so I hope that worked.

Fabulous story! My favorite part, other than the happy ending of course, was when Chapel was watching Jim and Bones play pool and noticing their very strong, but well-hidden attraction to the other. I was grinning so wide the whole time. I really liked how you changed things up a bit with each prank - sometimes showing the planning of the prank, sometimes just describing the prank itself and sometimes using an outsiders point of view - very clever way of keeping things interesting.

I didn't quite twig that is what I was doing at the time, hee. I just tried to set each one out appropriate for the prank. I had picked them first, put them in the order they were going to happen and then let the story evolve organically to show the growth of their friendship and then something a little more (this was originally supposed to be gen/friendship only!).

My beta's did mention that the Chapel section was quite long and did focus a bit on her, but I liked being in her head, seeing how she had gotten to Starfleet and then how that would affect how she saw the two boys. I do also love the Uhura pov one as well. Gaila is just way too much fun.
