I've got this job dilemma thingy

Not the Dillard's saga; that's a different dilemma. And not school, as Summer School has ended and the fall term doesn't start for a few more weeks. This one is about some editing work I've been doing for the last couple years for a company that prints, among other things, text books.

I know this is rather belated, but here're my two cents...

I think math is the kind of subject where no further disclosure other than "I don't do math" is needed. It's like ppl either get math or they mostly don't. Personally I'm raising my hand for that 2nd group. I would also think that math is something they'd want you to get right. Besides, you're willing to take anything else. Hopefully they'll take that into consideration.

I've averted this month's crisis by palming the chapters off on my 17-year old niece. She knows how to do solve the equations, and since she works at Dairy Queen she thinks the $15/page (shh) I'm paying her is awesome.

I am composing a letter, basically stating that I signed on for Reading and Language Arts, and that my talents would be utilized more effectively by sending me chapters from those particular texts. I have no idea if they'll even read it, let alone make the switch, but I figured it's worth a shot.

It's great to have a multi-talented family who don't know the terms of the agreement :)

Unfortunately she'll be away next month visiting colleges; she's a softball player and has had some serious offers. My other niece changed her major from Veterinary Sciences to Pharmacology and moved back home, but I don't think she plans to count 5th Grade math as one of her extracurricular activities.
