Various random thoughts

Still futzing with colors on the ol' Livejournal, yes. And I guess my attitude has to be that if I can't beat 'em, I should join 'em. Or something. Because apparently I can't change the link colors. Why on Earth that should be the case, I have no idea. I mean, I can change every other darn color on the layout. I think they do it just to piss me off ( Read more... )

It's one of the customizations on the layout I use for the journal. From LiveJournal's main page, after logging in, go Manage -> Customize. The place to switch it, in the layout I use is under "Customize Journal" (or something like that) and then click the "Text" tab. There's a place where you can change "Current Music" to something else. Since I'm not often listening to music while online, I figured it made more sense to list the voice I was currently hearing... ;) The only bad thing is that changes the "Current Music" line on the Friends page, too, so everyone is channeling music, not listening to it. It's pretty amusing to a feeble mind like mine. ;)

That wouldn't be all too far from the truth in my case, actually. ;-) What I list under "Current Music" are often songs that are stuck in my head, rather than ones that I actually, physically listen to at the moment.

Good luck with the job hunt, chicka. I guess that's the disadvantage of smaller towns in a way. $10/hr for a masters? Pfft! As if. I'm not sure about the Cell sitch, but I think your solution is the best one for protecting the Cell itself.

So, has it snowed up there yet? :P

Yes, Durango is a hellish town to find a job in. Which is why I both bless and curse Home Depot. It's paying the bills, yes...but it sure isn't the best job in the world, no ( ... )

Hrmm... if you are talking about whom I think you are.... I'll look into talking with her too. Does seem that she's been using more of the 'red' in her posts lately. But when I talk with her in chat and email, she's not as "bitter" as she appears. :/

I'd appreciate that, HT. I think you do know of whom I am speaking. As I said, I am merely concerned, both for her personally and for the effect that some of the things she is saying is having on other people on the board. I'm not angry or anything. I'm just feeling kind of...helpless, and I'm not sure how to approach her, given that from what I've seen, criticism might make her freak. I don't want to do that; I just want her to realize what she's sounding like, is all.

Does that make sense? Probably not. Ah well, just me worrying, is all.

Yes, I think I get what you mean. Sometimes I wince when I see lots of red too. It's like writing things in all caps.

Check your email (the night-asylum one) too... if you hadn't already. ;)

Yay! "Redemption" is a word I always like, especially if it's from you and/or Frosty, O Queen. :) :) Do let us know when it's ready to be devoured and admired and memorized. ;)

Will definately be praying for the job situation. I'll have to do something about that too, pretty soon methinks. When the pretty coloured stuff is only going down a one-way street, it's time to get moving.

At this rate, it'll be ready in about ten years. *sigh* We've been going through a bit of a creative dry spell. Or, to put it more accurately, our combined creativity has been channeled more toward music than writing.

But I did make a bit of progress today...though not with Skywarp, oddly enough. Skyfire took over, for some odd reason... Ah well. Progress is progress. Shan't complain. ;)
