Damian had been plotting to get away from the Manor on his bike to look after some lawyers about removing Drake's name from some of the assets, and had hoped to remain unnoticed.
Of course, Pennyworth's eyes could spot fingerprints ten miles away and a young gentleman escaping was clearly in his radar. "Puppies? Are we training new bat dogs?" he asked, poking his head in.
"No, young master. But the young mistress is in great need for an escort," Alfred informs him in his educated english accent, while maneuvering the iron.
"Please? Today is the LAST day of the Baby Week at the zoo!" Mar'i joins hands, regarding Damian with LARGE, pleading eyes. "I want to see the baby panda!"
Damian had thoughts of torture more appealing than going to see baby animals look saccharine. "Why don't we spar? Or...spy on a government facility instead?" he offered miserably.
He knew etiquette demanded he did this. He could just hope to distract her to avoid his duty.
Mar'i frowns and hugs the plush penguin to her immature bosom. "But I can't have fun if *you* don't have fun. And you *can't* have fun here. Therefore we *leave*." She states with a stubborn expression.
She's sorry not to be able to see the baby koala or the baby panda, but seeing Damian shut himself away, brooding to himself, makes her even more sorry!
Damian nodded, hating how he has ruined Mar'i's day. "Alfred will not be picking us up for a while. I suppose we could go to the pond, and we could wade. It's not too far, we could walk," he offered. "I think there are some ducklings."
