Not too many posts over the last 2 weeks. Is he too busy even to play Touch the Numbers now? However there is still enough time to work it in here and there, lets see what he has to say in his most recent micro twitters :)
I found a version of this game to play on my google G1 phone and I agree it is very challenging and fun. :)
My highest (lowest...) score so far 6.284 for counting from 1 - 20. congratulations on your new personal best record! My consistent average is about 8 seconds. does your version allow you to see the numbers while the start timer ticks down?
I usually try to find each one I can while getting familiar with the board, then I try to relax and just let my intuition take over for where the numbers are. That's when I get my best times. ^_^
I cannot see anything during the countdown so there is no way to prepare before the timer starts. I do try to relax though and not really think. I try to let the information from my eyes go straight to my fingers. The more time you spend focusing and thinking the slower you'll go. This is the same kind of thing I did when I used to play DDR and was learning some of the extreme routines, everything went straight from my eyes to my feet. However, that at least had repeated petterns whereas ths game is always random.
Good luck improving your time and keep having fun :)
I'm not really trying to beat his score, though that might be kind of cool, lol. I think I have a long way to go for that though. I would like to make it onto the daily boards eventually though, right now that will be my distant goal. For the moment just making this score a regular thing would make me very happy.
Thanks for the continuing translation of this! And congratulations on a new high score! I'm with Jo--You should aim to beat Gackt, and then write some sort of reference to it. *wicked laugh*
Oh, funny story, when I saw your mention of coworkers: When I was at work, one of the guys was playing Touch the Numbers, and not doing to well, and then said something along the line of "There's probably some nerdy guy in China with the super high score."
I almost said, "Actually, he's in Japan," but I wasn't able to speak for laughing. XD
You know, I think most of the highscorers are in Japan. So many of the names are in Japanese and a lot of them even do leave messages for Gackt. I can't understand all of them but I can understand enough.
I'm not too sure about beating him, That would be really difficult but If I could get about the same level that would be pretty cool, though still really difficult. We'll see though, just don't expect results anytime soon.
