i have used bare minerals for the longest time and i love it. the powder works flawlessly on my skin, and it covers scars and acne perfectly. its not too thick, and in actuality, it feels really light and airy on my skin. it's matte as well, so it covers my 'shiny' areas on my face. very breathable. the only drawback is this, it has a 'cosmetic' smell. it smells as if i have make up on me. i have used powder by other brands and they do not have that smell. i am using Sephora's cover FX, and it works as well as bare minerals, but minus the 'cosmetic' smell...I AM LOVING IT!!! :D
The problem is I've tried navigating the Bare Minerals website and it's certainly not the most user-friendly shopping site. I haven't been able to see what their colour range is like and if their package deals on their main site is all they offer, then I can certainly not interested.
Most reviewers of both brands have indicated that Bare Minerals may inflict some skin reaction due to an ingredient called Bismuth Oxychloride, whereas Everyday Minerals products does not have.
We unfortunately don't have Sephora here. Perhaps you should take advantage of the Everyday Minerals free sample kits and try them out for size if you're into mineral makeup.
i tried BE but found the coverage v thick and chalky and shiny. didn't get why it was so hugely popular when my cheapo japanese powder foundation was doing such a better job.
and this trial was a full on makeover at a BE shop in states. scrubbed it off when i got back to my room.
so far the only mineral mu i like is laura gellar. ordered EM after reading your post, mebbe it'll work better!
Ooooo, I didn't know BE had shops in the US. I got the impression they were just a webstore. Perhaps it is mostly their marketing, which developed their popularity.
Just did a quick look around the Laura Gellar website. Their colour palettes are really natural!
