i should update lj while i'm actually being productive! it's not even 8am yet and i've already gotten stuff done-- w00t!! today was David's first day at work, so i got up at 5:15am with him to see him off and then did the laundry, dishes etc. is this what it's like to be a housewife?? *rolleyes* kidding, of course ( Read more... )

That volunteer job at the RSPCA sounds awesome! And, no, it's not dreaming to think volunteering somewhere will get you a paying job with them. In fact, that's how A LOT of non-profit organizations hire people. Just go above and beyond show them that you are really dedicated to their cause and they will be happy to offer you a job when one pops up.

I know this because I volunteered before being hired at every single place where I've ever worked. Volunteering also offers excellent conditions to network. Never stop casually mentioning that you need a real job. ;D

Can't wait for those pictures!
