At least you don't have cockroaches.
I didn't sleep at all last night and feel like shit. I don't even have enough strength to clean up my apartment, although I really should.

have you gotten stuff for the roaches yet...? they`re utterly disgusting but catchable/killable. i`ve had a roach here too.

Yes, yesterday I went and bought anything useful I could find.
I'll have a huge cleaning session today although I'm still exhausted and don't really feel like it.
Let's hope it's worth it and I won't run into any more roaches or eggs.

Oh gosh! You must be feeling horrible. How hard will it be for you to take her with you when you finish Jet? That seems like the most important thing. I would imagine it would be much harder to give away a fully/partially grown cat then a kitten...So if it is not going to be possible to take her with you when you leave Japan, it would probably be best to rehome her now...If it is definitely feasible to take her with you, I'd just risk it by keeping her. If you get busted having a cat, you could always start the deportation process earlier.
(but don't listen to me because I love cats and I know I'd only be looking for justification to keep her rather than a reason to give her away!)
