Making new friends

It has been a week or so since the incident with the Wight and his fateful meeting with Doctor Evangeline Nix. The first few days after, it had seemed like he had done nothing more than sleep as his body rapidly (more rapidly than the normal human would) healed

"Well, I do have a way of staying out of sight when needed and in the state of disrobement I was and given what I was chasing, staying out of view of the general public was something i was striving for."

"It will surprise you what people choose to see and what not to see as what you study should prove," he stated with a small smile.

He nodded. "There had been some stories of things disappearing and people being attacked. I came to see if those were just a common mugger or something more dangerous. Obviously, it was something more dangerous."

"I am very lucky. Perhaps you will allow me to walk you home, for your safety, of course," he said, as the server came up to get their orders.

He nodded. He wouldn't push. This was a woman use to being on her own.

He ordered a pint of bitters and something for a bit of an appetizer.

"Well, I've been helping a friend who studies those things and provides a place for them to ever be safe from the outside world or for the outside world to be safe from them. I help when she needs someone to check into things she can't. I also have my services on call for other who have a same need."

"The ability to move about without being seen," he stated, sipping his drink, watching her.

He just smiled over the rim of his glass. "I could be," he stated. "But that's not saying I am," he corrected her. "And you dear, Doctor, just what drew you into your field of study?"
