It has been a week or so since the incident with the Wight and his fateful meeting with Doctor Evangeline Nix. The first few days after, it had seemed like he had done nothing more than sleep as his body rapidly (more rapidly than the normal human would) healed.
Stitches were now out and he fingered the card, wondering if she really would go out with him for a meal and conversation. She was not your average doctor. Her calm reaction to his abrupt appearance into her life was more than testimony to that. He debated it a moment longer before picking up the phone and putting the call through.
