I had a story due in my creative writing class this week, so I decided to write a dark parody of a superhero narrative. And I figured I should watch some superhero TV shows for inspiration before writing it, right? So I started watching the Justice League.

HOW DID I FORGET THAT BATMAN IS SUCH A FUCKING BADASS.

So there we go. I don't think it's impossible, but it really depends on whether the rumors on JGL being Falcone's son (tying in to a Selina Kyle opposition) are actually going to pan out. Because if not, and if JGL isn't cast as an antagonist/villain (yes, as a sad person, I am so holding out for this) - then we might actually get a disabled batman or something. And in The Dark Knight Rises, someone else takes up the mantle. *shrugs*
You know what we need? Dresden Files crossover. The goddamn batman meets Johnny fucking Marcone.

Hm... broken Bruce, HERE COMES DICK GRAYSON? :D :D :D
(Okay, yes, I know that's not the correct order of Bats but he's my favorite non-Bruce Batman. And I think I'd die a little if they put Nightwing in the movie... HOLY SHIT JGL CAN BE DICK GRAYSON.
Aaaaaand... I may have just jizzed in my pants a little at that idea.)
Oh my God. OH MY GOD. That crossover would be so EPIC. Because at first they would meet as Bruce and John at some ritzy dinner party and then Harry would blow something up and Chicago would be in need of the Batman so Bruce would scurry off and John would be like "Hmm..." and totally figure it out.
HOLY CRAP I WANT THIS NOW. SO SO BAD. XD

Hell, yeah.
I know, I was thinking the same thing. A lot of people believe Nolan won't squirrel his way out by installing Dick Grayson/Nightwing, and not Robin, though.
DUDE, YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE. I LOVE THAT CROSSOVER. I WANT THAT GODAMN CROSSOVER :D ...I wonder if anyone at the Dresden kink meme would oblige us...

Now I remember. And it is awesome.
The sequel should be good! Nolan has done fantastic things with the Batman franchise. I have high hopes, but I'm a little nervous about the whole back-breaking debacle. I mean, that's what Bane is known for in the Batman story. HE. BROKE. BATMAN.
