It honest to god doesn't start with a fight this time (well, okay, it kind of does, but more indirectly than usual anyway), Drake knows, because this time it started at the very beginning-- at the very beginning, when they would sneak off during breaks to meet each other behind the studio, when they were young(er) and stupid(er), when they first fell for each other. It started way-back-when, in the good old days, whatever you'd rather call it, and ever since then Drake has known that friend isn't a good word for what they are, but it's the only one they've got, so it's the one they use.

(You know, once upon a long, long time ago, Drake could honestly call Josh his friend. And then they became something more than that. And then they became more than that. And now neither of them are sure what the hell they are--
