It honest to god doesn't start with a fight this time (well, okay, it kind of does, but more indirectly than usual anyway), Drake knows, because this time it started at the very beginning-- at the very beginning, when they would sneak off during breaks to meet each other behind the studio, when they were young(er) and stupid(er), when they first fell for each other. It started way-back-when, in the good old days, whatever you'd rather call it, and ever since then Drake has known that friend isn't a good word for what they are, but it's the only one they've got, so it's the one they use.

Ahhaha, when I first saw that this had been posted, I was actively trying to convince myself not to, because no matter how much fun it would be (and it is massive amounts of fun) my big bang should be done a million times over by now and I only have about 8,000 words written (unedited) and I need to work on it forever and ever amen, but then I saw this prompt and was like, must. not. write. must. not. write. ...
