We found a townhouse in Campbell last weekend that impressed us so much, I spent a couple of hours this morning test driving the commute. I spent an hour just reaching Campbell from San Francisco, passing Apple at the 45-minute point. (I could not have tolerated the last year and a half without Apple's private bus service.) Good luck! If it's an unconfirmed short sale, I guess it hasn't been on the market long? Or just had 0 offers?

That puts you spitting distance from the Isilon offices in Campbell, want an even shorter commute? ;)

Yeah, the house had been listed for a month or two, but we're the first offer. I think we're supposed to hear about any subsequent offers, but nothing yet. At this point we're just waiting for the bank to review the material submitted by the current occupant.

We'll have to see about the commute. Apple just upped the ante by adding a shuttle route that stops a ten-minute walk from the house. :-)
