Impractical cats
Dave C recently moved to a new flat, practically up the road from me, and on Monday night he invited me round for dinner. At this point I'd like to say, for the benefit of Newly-Bearded Alex if he happens to be reading, that "dinner" is not some kind of secret codeword that means "we are having a torrid affair that we're not telling you about." At least you aren't one of those fussy people who refuse to go anywhere near if they have cats.
I congratulate you for sticking it out. I would hate to be allergic to cats as mine are like my kids.
