I probably should be on my way to work by now, but I had to write this one down, because ... well, I'm not sure if this has something to do with Jenny or if it's just wishful thinking.
Paxton: "There are a lot of things I never knew about Emma. But one thing's for sure: She was a fighter. Stubborn as hell."
Jethro (smiling): "Yeah. Been there ..."
Paxton: "Emma had to do it. Right? She didn't have a choice."
Jethro: "No, she had a choice. That's what makes her a hero."
Paxton: "A hero ..."
This whole conversation ... I don't know. Jethro was talking about Shannon (kind of) during the first interview and maybe he was also thinking about her in the end.
But I think you could also see it as if he was talking about Jenny: A fighter, stubborn, did have a choice, died a hero ... In some form Shannon was this, too, but that's more speculation, because we don't know enough about the circumstances she and Kelly died (being a witness to a murder don't lead to end of dead in a car crash and I don't see that she had much of a choice - she might have died a hero, because she was willing to testify but IMHO that's all). But we know how Jenny died and Jethro knows it also.
So, what do you think? Was this Jethro thinking/talking about Shannon or Jenny? (even in a "non-shipper/she was my partner and friend" kinda way)
I'd love to think it was both: Shannon in the beginning and Jenny in this last scene.
But maybe it's just me (and the Jenny living in my head) ;)
Overall not the best episode, because it didn't make much sense (who gets power, you don't ...), but it was nice to see them working without computer for a while. There were some funny parts in it. And Jethro ... well, for him it must have been paradise ;)
And I loved the "Doctor Who" reference Tim used.
Off to work now.
