Chapter 2
Tegoshi and Shige walked out the university gate and chatted animatedly, they just learnt that both of them also the only child in the family, so they have another thing in common. Tegoshi talked about how his mother and grandmother spoilt him up until now, it took him weeks to convince them when he decided to live on his own and moved out from the house. Shige was somehow relieved that his parents were quite open-minded, they have known about his sexual orientation too, but they didn’t really mind about it. Shige was thankful to have such parents.
Suddenly a car stopped beside them, Shige and Tegoshi stopped their steps and looked to the fancy sport car and the owner inside it. Shige’s eyes brightened as he recognized the car, its owner opened the window and smiled to him.
“Yo Shige! Get in!” invited the owner as he opened his sunglasses in cool way.
“Hai! Oh Yucchan, do you want to join us?” asked Shige hesitantly as he didn’t know if Tegoshi would go to the same direction as them or not.
“Ah daijoubu, I have to go somewhere first.” Tegoshi rejected politely. He didn’t want to interrupt them.
“Are you sure? I think Yamashita-kun won’t mind.”
“No no, don’t mind me, just go!” said Tegoshi as he hushed Shige away from him. Shige smiled and thought how cute Tegoshi was. He walked to the car and slipped himself at the passenger seat beside the driver. He bade farewell and the cool guy also nodded politely to Tegoshi before driving his car again.
Tegoshi sighed, he thought Shige was so lucky to have such boyfriend like … what’s his name again? Ahyes, Yamashita-kun! Even his name sounded so cool! They were such a perfect couple, just like me and … he stopped at his own thoughts. He hated himself to start remembering his past love, he was sure Ryo must have moved on his own life and probably already found a new lover. He walked home crying silently.

Tegoshi was sitting alone in the library, he decided to stop thinking about his ex-lover as he knew it would only pain his heart and engrossed himself in study. Tegoshi realized he ditched so many important classes and it’s time to catch up with the lessons. He didn’t realize he had been sitting there for hours and his eyes already felt tired reading those thick books, he let out a long sigh and opened his glasses which he only wore during study. Suddenly a figure came to approach him.
“Hi Tegoshi right? Can I sit here?” said the tall figure in front of him. Tegoshi shocked upon his sudden request, he quickly nodded while tidying up his books and belongings to make more spaces on the table. The tall guy sat beside him. Tegoshi couldn’t help to stare at him, the more he looked the more he thought how handsome he was.
“Is there something weird in my face?”
“Ehh no no no, sorry for being impolite. You are Yamashita-kun right?”
“Ah good, you still remember me. I’m Yamashita Tomohisa. Just call me Yamapi ok?”
“Ehh, ii desu ka? I’m Tegoshi Yuya.”
“Can I call you Yucchan too?”
“Ehh Shige told you?”
“Hahaha yes, Shige told me so many things about you.”
“USOOO!!”
“Hontou da! But he didn’t tell me that you are so cute with glasses.”
Tegoshi was speechless. His could feel all his blood rushed up to his face.
“Chotto matte!! What was that? Was he just hitting on me? But why? He has Shige already!”. He admitted that Yamapi was really hot but he didn’t want to mess anything with Shige, he knew Shige really loved his boyfriend.
“But now his boyfriend is hitting on me!! What should I do???” Tegoshi couldn’t help being panicked.
“Eh gomen, did I make you uncomfortable?” as Yamapi noticed the trouble look on Tegoshi’s face.
“Uhm, it’s not that … it’s just I …” Tegoshi was just totally lost on his own words.
“Kawaii! He really acted as a shy cute girl.” thought Yamapi and he made decision to flirt him more.
Yamapi shifted himself closer to Tegoshi and whispered, “Just relax, I wasn’t planned to eat you, not yet, I just want to admire your cute face.” Tegoshi felt shivered all over his body as he could feel Yamapi’s breath near his neck.
“This is not right, this is not fair for Shige!”
“Do you realize how beautiful you are?” began Yamapi again as he trailed his finger on Tegoshi’s hand.
“Mou, enough Yamashita-kun!!” Tegoshi couldn’t hold back his anger anymore. He pulled back his hand from the table. He couldn’t believe Shige’s boyfriend was so unfaithful. He hated unfaithful person. He hated Yamapi even more coz he betrayed his best friend. He felt really sorry for Shige.
Yamapi was shocked for Tegoshi’s action, he was embarrassed, though Tegoshi didn’t shout it loud, it was pretty obvious all people in library started looking at them, some of them hissed to be quiet. But most of all, Yamapi felt rejected. He never got rejected before, never once. He always got anyone he wanted, boys or girls. Tegoshi was the first one who wasn’t falling into his charm, he was defeated and he hated it.
“What’s your problem?” whispered Yamapi feeling annoyed at angry Tegoshi beside him.
“It’s you who have problem! Shame on you! Flirt on me and betrayed your boyfriend!” hissed Tegoshi back.
“Boyfriend? Who?”
“Dear God, this Yamashita guy is sick! Now he pretended to be single? Poor Shige!”
“I don’t want to discuss this!” Tegoshi had enough dealing with Yamapi, he didn’t want to get further involved, he cared for Shige, he didn’t want to hear more flirty words from his unfaithful boyfriend. He started collecting his belongings and walked out the library. Yamapi was stunned for awhile, he couldn’t understand why Tegoshi became so angry and talked about him betraying his boyfriend, what boyfriend? He ran after Tegoshi.
He easily caught Tegoshi by the arm and forced the shorter boy to face him.
“Chotto matte! I still don’t get what you mean. What boyfriend?? You mean you have a boyfriend already?”
“You know what? You are …” Tegoshi stopped as he saw Shige walked towards them with huge smile all over his face.
“Yabaii!! What should I do?” shrieked Tegoshi on his mind.
“Yo Yamashita-kun! Yucchan!! So nice to see you both here!” greeted Shige happily as if nothing happened.
“Shige!! Explain this! You said Tegoshi was single!” barked Yamapi demanded Shige’s explanation.
“Ehhh, he is! He mentioned about his ex-boyfriend, ne Yucchan? You are single now right?” asked Shige. Tegoshi looked at him in disbelief, he was lost on their conversation.
“I-I don’t get this. Shige, Yamashita-kun is your boyfriend right?” Tegoshi finally realized something, maybe he just made a wrong judgment after all.
“WHAT??” shocked Yamapi, though he sorta figured out the whole problem.
“Eh Yucchan, are you crazy? Though I’m good looking, I’m not his type, he is so NOT my boyfriend!” replied Shige while laughing away, he knew from the start it was only a misunderstanding. See? Shige was so smart.
“Uwaa, I really screwed everything, didn’t I? I’m so sorry Yamashita-kun!” regretted Tegoshi and bowed to Yamapi.
“It’s ok. Though you have hurt my heart, I forgive you.” said Yamapi coolly. Though he often acted cool outside, actually Yamapi hated losing, so when Tegoshi rejected him earlier he thought he already lost his charms, but now he aimed to get Tegoshi’s attention again. Nobody said NO to Yamashita Tomohisa.
“Arigatou! OMG, I’m so embarrassed!” panicked Tegoshi with red face.
“Don’t mind, don’t mind. Why on earth you thought he was my boyfriend anyway?” laughed Shige.
“Eh, he picked you up before ne?”
“Baka, so you think every time I jumped into someone’s car, the driver is my boyfriend? Yamashita-kun is our senpai, and we live near each other.” explained Shige as he dragged Tegoshi and Yamapi to move forward as they blocked the corridor.
“Ouw! Ore wa hontou baka da ne?” Tegoshi was able to laugh again, and this made Yamapi’s heart thumped, he loved Tegoshi’s heartily laugh a lot.
“Ne Tegoshi, as you have hurt my heart, you owe me something.”
“Ehh, what is that?”
“You have to give me your number and mail address.” Tegoshi couldn’t help but blush at Yamapi’s request. He nodded shyly and they exchanged numbers and mail addresses. Shige witnessed everything with huge grin. He thought they would make a cute couple. It reminded himself when he met his boyfriend for the first time, his beloved Nishikido Ryo.
