since I ate all of that baked mac&cheese, here's The Lady's recipe. That's a pretty easy looking recipe - and not too bad on what's in it. Alton Brown's verson calls for heavy cream and then deep-frying, which looks awesome, but you know it's gotta have 2500 calories per serving!
I've never made mac&cheese (except from a box), so maybe one day I'll give it a try. Do you have a recommendation for the type of cheese (Paula says 'cheddar' but is that mild, sharp, extra sharp, or a blend)?
avatar What is this? What's it about? What station is it on?
There used to be this show on tv called "Tomorrow People" about kids who discovered they had powers - like teleportation or telekenesis. It also had the kids ending up in Dr. Who type situations (inadvertantly stumbling on some evil plot) each week. Man, that was a long time ago, but I still remember thinking it was a cool show.
Yeah the recipe is great. I used cream chesse instead of sour cream though. I just don't like to eat it. When she made it, she said sharp chedder, which is what I use anyways. I just had never had baked m&c before. I had always done it in a sauce pan. I like that it's creamy, but you can add another layer of cheese in the last five minutes to make a 'crust' type thing.
What is this? *gasp* It's a nick cartoon on friday nights, but don't let that sway you away! I made some bases a while back. I really like that it has substance and not just stupid fighting. Imdb summary: When the hostile Fire Nation threatens to enslave the Water, Earth, and Air Nations, a reluctant and irresponsible boy must face his destiny as the Avatar, the Chosen One who can restore the world order. This new animated series centers on twelve-year-old Aang, who must forgo his selfish wandering to learn to master his latent powers over the four elements. Only then can he conquer the Firebenders, the evil magi who threaten the world.Oh and think, Jason

It's a nick cartoon on friday nights, Oh, right on. Wow, I haven't watched nick in a long time. Now that there's nothing on except Dr. Who on Fridays, I'll have to check it out. If I can't seem to find it, though, I'll get back to you on the uploading (the only reason I hesitate is that it takes so long to dl and I never do get around to watching anything that I dl!)
Jason Issacs was the villian in the first season! I'm not a huge JI fan, but I know someone who is - I'll have to let her know.
I used cream chesse instead of sour cream though. I just don't like to eat it. You don't like to eat sour cream? Not even when it's mixed in with stuff? How come? Is it a taste thing or a calorie thing or something else?
I bookmarked the mac&cheese recipe, so next time I go to the store, I might get all the stuff and make it. I've never done it from scratch before - sounds kinda like it might be fun.
I love most anything from Paula Deen! She does lots of southern comfort food that I just die over. If you're going to be making it just for yourself, cut that in half. That's what I did and had it for leftovers the next three meals!
Monday!! Have you seen it yet? The reason I rushed to get it was I hadn't seen it in theaters. Umm, really if you want lots of special features, I'd wait. The two disc set doesn't come with much *not a single commmentary!* and now I know I'm going to get the next set when they let it out too. I'll probably give the 2 disc set I have now to my mom.
i like it when you make some food and you cant eat it all so you have to save some for the next day! lol
its out today!!!! yeah, i saw it at the cinema, its pretty good, dont ya think? mmm...im not really fussed about special features and stuff. iv got the other three films so i buy the same edition that they are (they have to be the same!) lol, i think i get the widescreen edition that does have a second disk actually!
