Man, I know there was a big kerfluffle in the SPN fandom that sounds like it was a lot like the big kerfluffles that used to go down in HP fandom, but seriously - I am in love with fandom in general right now. Wow, amen sister. What a nice send off to fandom. See, you're on LJ and the SG-1 LJ fandom seems to be the nicest I've ever encountered. I hope that you have continued love and warm fuzzies here :)

And yes, wow, didn't know you'd bookmarked and read the site. Poor you. Heh heh ;) But thanks. I hope that the good stuff outshone the bad stuff. And I'm glad that you've ventured into LJ land and aren't as shy anymore. Your posts are very interesting :)

Word. I've only ever been in one fandom that's anything like the LJ SG-1 scene, and it was a much, much younger population

And NOT poor me! Totally read it all, and believe me when I say I will not finish a fic if it loses me. :-D

I do love our little corner of SG-1 fandom. Maybe it's the way I cover my ears and la-la-la at anything that isn't gen that makes things run so smoothly. I don't know. Maybe I'm just lucky to have bumped into some really, really nice people! :)

We should make a point, some time today, of taking a moment to write a "thank you" to a writer we've never given feedback before. Because I finally wrote to Tallulah Rasa, and I was astonished at how much it meant to her, even though I've been there before myself. And there are so many wonderful writers out there I've never acknowledged, and it's high time I did something about it!

::wanders off to work some more on pre-series Daniel, because niamaea just gave her some warm fuzzies::

I think that the fandom's old enough to have gotten some of its crazies out helps a lot too. Ten years to burn off all the typical fandom wank maybe does wonders! Although, also, I think it stands to reason that people who have clued into SG-1 are prone to have the Awesome Gene.

The thank you idea is a great one, I'm totally gonna do it. And y'know, Tallulah is another author I love and have never said a word too.
