Star Wars vs. Stargate

Dec 04, 2012 09:02

Over at TeeFury today, they're having a "battle" between two shirts, one is yet another "Han shot first!" design, while the other is Stargate with a touch of Wizard of Oz.

At the moment, the Stargate shirt is in the lead, probably due in part to them having lots of Star Wars shirts in the past, but this is the first time I remember one for Stargate.

stargate, star wars

It's rare to see one that isn't a character shirt. A friend bought me one with Daniel Jackson on it, but the graphic is so large it feels weird to wear it.

As far as I can tell, the Stargate one is superior. ;)

I think the key is the simplicity of the design. It works for any incarnation of the series one has enjoyed.

I had that tab open for hours this morning debating which one I wanted. And then I started thing that $10 each isn't bad, so why not get both? But I'm scared of spending money right now. :-(

I think you'd save money on postage getting two at once. See, that's frugal, right?

My immediate thought with the Stargate shirt? Needs two little stick figures, one either side of the symbol... but then I'm old school like that! :P

Sad that they don't carry 3X or higher. Has it escaped their notice that a lot of the geek-universe would benefit from larger sizes, even if they had to pay a bit more for them?

I have a feeling it's a cost issue. I'm actually surprised they offer a 2X at the same price, as that's usually when the price bumps up.

I've learned that many of the artists sell their shirts at other places (when I made the mistake of ordering the "women's" t-shirt size once, I found it for sale at Redbubble, but for twice the price), and this one has sold at two other "limited time only" sites. it's no longer available at those, but Qwertee has it where you can vote for its return, and they have 3X.
