I’m still gutted and angry about Endgame - have already read countless ideas that would have been better for handling the fact CE and RDJ were ready to retire their role or whatever. Anyway
ST Picard - I’m really annoyed because the trailers I watched identified it as being on Amazon Prime with no visual cue that it will only be outside US/Canada. Very annoyed. The ever increasing fragmentation of streaming content access ... SIGH.
Disney+ : I have so many problems with how MCU has crafted scarlet witch, and found the whole SW/Vision thing boring and manipulative. As such I’m bummed SW will be in Dr Strange 2. I’d be happier if they brought back the Agent Carter series to wrap it up. I’m inclined to subscribe ... maybe. Aside from the Marvel content I hope that they will include the 70s/80s telemovies, movies and WWofD episodes I remember etc. very interesting that Natalie Portman is supposedly returning to Thor.
I keep going with Endgame being an AU that split off from the main MCU timeline when Steve didn't come back. It's the only thing that makes what was onscreen palatable

I like your AU idea. I know that what happened was very true to who Tony had become. But that fucked up move with Rogers just makes it harder to accept. The guy spreads destruction, lies and about kills Tony for Bucky -- then just bails on his bud and trots off to rewrite history for his happy-ever-after, everyone else be damned. the way they twisted Steve's character I can see that selfishness but Peggy would totally kick his ass before going along with it.
At least I got my scene where Tony gets to rub faces into "I told you so."
The Tony and Peter relationship breaks my heart. I know it will play into FfH. I've managed to avoid spoilers simply because I did get spoiled for Endgame via the IMDB news feed on the app. Forced me to go see it on Sunday morn of opening weekend

When the directors and the writers can't even agree on what "really happened" in the movie, I think fans are fully entitled to interpret it how they want. Even more than the usual fanfic methods

I'm sure the cast of Agents of SHIELD are giving some serious side-eye to this news, though perhaps some can transition to the MCU proper once the show ends?
my brother was telling me that the characters from the netflix marvel shows can't be in any MCU movies or di$ney+ shows until at least 2020 because of copyrights or something. i wonder if that is the case for them? or because ABC is di$ney owned, it''s a different story?
I haven't heard that, but I did see articles saying that there's already a plan to reboot Daredevil to get him into the MCU proper. Or possibly just add in The Defenders as a group, but it would be a whole new cast and backstory, not what was in the Netflix series.
They've already got Phase Four for 2020-21, and there are still titles we know that will happen in Phase Five, but there's always room for more. The Defenders as a standalone "origin" story, then mix them into the rest of the characters would probably work.
I like your headcanon for Endgame. However, I am done with Marvel after that. The only thing that could save it for me is for someone else to get a time machine and somehow rescue/resurect Tony. I'm just not interested anymore without RDJ.
I love RDJ as Tony Stark. It was like he was born to play the role, and he went from barely being hired because of his bad rep in the industry as a drug addict to not only leading the franchise but also mentoring a lot of his co-stars.
From what I've read, he wanted out a while ago, but was popular enough that the studio talked him into extended cameos. At least Tony's death made a lot more sense for him as a character than the other major deaths/changes.
I'm looking forward to Thor: Love and Thunder for multiple reasons. I'm really curious to see what Waititi does with it, and if he can manage to salvage Jane Foster from the damage done by others.
I do think I'm going to be a lot pickier about what I see in the theater versus what I wait to see at home though.

Haven’t seen Spider-Man FfH yet.
