I really can't help it--I am so addicted to reality music shows! Sigh, yet another year of American Idol under my belt. It was actually a pretty good year, and I was quite happy with the results finale last night. Yay for David Cook!! I was really not expecting him to win, there was just too much pimping of David Archuleta. Speaking of which,

I would've been fine with either David winning but yay for Cook (I refuse to call him Cookie, EW).

I saw David Cook on Leno last night. What a cutie! He seemed so at ease, so comfortable up there with Jay. If he had any nerves he sure didn't show it. What a radical difference to what I imagine it would have been like if David A had won. There would have been lots of nervous laughter, lots of gosh's and gee's. I'm ok with that from him, because it seems like he is genuine and not fake-modest, but it doesn't make for the best interview, does it? Once more I was glad Cook won!

I'm going to take a "wait and see" approach to D.C. Yes he is hoping to have a lot of say as to what goes into his album, but you know how these idol things go--sometimes what you want and what you get are two radically different things. To be fair, however, I think he has a good shot at making it sound more like who he is as an artist because he's had experience at recording already with his old band.
Oh, and by the way, in case you haven't read back any of my previous posts, I am officially a Winnipegger no longer--the family and I moved to Edmonton at the end of April! It's been interesting, to say the least, and we're finally getting somewhat settled...

Yeah... I'm not jumping on it until we hear past the Idol Winner song, but he's certainly got a head start for me than any of the other AIs! I do own Kelly's most recent one, but I think I've only listened that once so far... whoops.
I saw! Man big step for ya! Has it been working out okay so far?
