So it turns out I really did fall in love. His name is Brian and hes the RA (resident advisor) of the first floor in Wayne Hall. Maybe its for the best you don't try to run into him if he has had a girlfriend for 5 years. He's obviously happy...and unfortunately for you...straight. If he's the RA, he may be obligated to talk about your personal feelings if you choose to. Or maybe because he is so good at listening that the college knew he'd be great for the job. Either way, don't ruin a possibly good friendship with someone who is that understanding by publicizing the things you've talked about. If he knows your allowing yourself to see him as more than a friend, he may not go out of his way anymore to be as understanding and outgoing. Be understanding that he is straight, and if you show more than that towards him he might protect his reputation rather than his feelings. Let bygones be bygones and enjoy your dates...

Thanks for the awesome advice. Things have more or less worked out the way you suggested I make them work out. Hes a great friend and RA and I have no intentions of doing anything (else)to sabotage that.
