Gave blood.

Weight: Considering that I blew off last week entirely, weighing in at 199 was something of a relief. Back on the wagon this week.

Reading: Coming up to Austerlitz. Not gonna be pretty.

Needlework: Put in a couple of rows of pale blue (DMC 3747) before deciding it was too dark. Back to 3756 tonight; in the meantime, more ivy leaves.

needlework, weight, reading

So I saw this really clever things at Saul's birthday: a small framed piece that said 'Today Saul is' and a space. There was a wooden box with little one-inch square bits with numbers. Every year you change the number. It was very cute. And I have a 1.5 year old nephew and a mother that stitches. Is this a kit or something you've ever seen before?

Cheers!

C.

Sounds clever, but I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Given Saul's advanced age, it was probably made some time ago. It wouldn't be too difficult to chart--does the hardware seem generic, or terrifically specific?

I think that piece of needlework does date back to when Saul was a baby, and it was probably made by a family member. I'll bet Nancy knows, or we can remember and ask Karen (Dudley) on Monday. (Game night). But your mom is clever and could do one without a kit I'll bet, if she is so inclined. (I'll try and bring a digital camera next game session and take pics so Karen/Angelina can see what it looks like)
