Priorities

So there's this pretty decent job in the local paper, and all I can think about is, if I apply, will I still get time off to see Them Crooked Vultures?

Think I am failing at this so called 'adulthood' thing. I have this silly little motivation to work at an awesome cafe and make awesome coffee all day. Not exactly a well paid job around here. I ( Read more... )

It's been my experience that the really big life choices happened without me really knowing it. They came in the form of small choices but turned massive with out me noticing it. The choices that I thought were going to be really big, hard and massively daunting turned out to be nothing and usually slipped by long before I finished worrying about them ( ... )

You can't be making very good argument's if you've spent 2 years saying something to someone to no avail. Perhaps you should rethink your own perspective before attempting to impose it upon others.

When uni finished, I found myself contemplating every single move I made, because it felt like whatever I wanted that I prioritized over other things was going to rule out everything else.. It was very frustrating, and almost crippling in helping me make decisions ( ... )

I very much agree: It's been my overall take on life for ages now that if you're not enjoying something at the time then what's the point of it at all?

The whole "hard work pays off later" thing, imo, is a total crock of crap. Hard work pays off with a more hard work that is never appreciated. If you can't find enjoyment in something then you're not going to find any semblance in it's derivative.

arent you heading to melbourne soon? hang out at the backpackers, that should motivate you to travel. or perhaps it wont. it should, however, be an experience.

I still work a job I dont like, however I know the job so well that I stay at a comfortable level and can go on autopilot most of the time - which generally gives me priority to spend more quality free time to enjoy life - if I really tried hard, the end result of very little accomplishment from a period of painful hardwork would make me cry.

My happiness outlet now is where I live, meeting backpackers, sharing stories and getting info on new interesting areas of the world, being inspired to travel again, knowing that there is something new and exciting out there; the only true adventure.
