I don't know if this has been advertised before, but I wanted to tell you all that I had a great experience today with Megabus. I was going to Philly and couldn't get my ticket from Bolt Bus (because I couldn't get Flash on my computer at work) so I checked out Megabus.com. My one-way ticket to Philly was $0.00 - FREE! I had a great experience with Megabus going to Philly also ... the return trip on the other hand, not so good.

They left us stranded in Philly because of a mistake on their website for the pickup location. We ended up having to take SEPTA to NJ Transit and spend $40 bucks and five hours extra to get home because when we were on the phone with customer service they told us "They couldn't help us except for getting us on the next available bus", which was the next afternoon.

Weird. I know they have a pickup in two different spots in Philly. One is at 6th and Market, the other outside 30th Street Station. Hopefully they've fixed the directions on their website though!

FYI, they just started service in the Northeast and are still in their "introductory fares" phase. Take advantage as they won't be this inexpensive forever!

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. They do advertise on the side of their bus "fares starting at $1" so hopefully it will at least remain pretty cheap.

My experience was mixed. It was 20 minutes late leaving New York, and 45 minutes late leaving Philly coming back (the latter being the most scary since it was getting late and there were no more busses).

But the price is certainly right and it's very comfortable.

That's what i was worried about, especially because the bus was almost empty. I'm not taking the bus back so I'll have to wait to find out about the Philly side.
