Okay, admit it, you've seem them. I saw them for the first time when I lived down in the financial district. They invaded the kitchen. They were little, they did not fly. I cleaned, sprayed, sealed the holes and they were gone. Easy. Never saw one in Harlem or when I lived on the upper west side...
But now I have a new problem. GIANT FLYING ROACHES, okay, more like GIANT FLYING ROACH.
I saw one and only one in my spotless co-op. We just moved in. There is nothing to eat, the place was empty for months... But IT flew across the room out of nowhere. We're on the 6th floor. Where did it come from? I'm sealing the cracks today. I've never seen one that big inside... we have a roof deck could it have come in from there? I did find an open window, do they just fly around looking for open windows and people to terrorize?
I'm sooooooo scared of these things. You have no idea.
Tell me your stories and tell me what works.
I'm cleaning like I have OCD. I'm scared to move objects. Help help help!
They say if you see one there are always more. If they are all that big I don't know what I'll do. But, my husband says that maybe the last people had an infestation and this is the "great last roach". He says they eat each other! So, it's so big because it's a "consolidated roach" made of other roaches. Why did he tell me that? I'm all creeped out now.
