Ah, this fic leaves me with a big smile on my face. What can I say, "I would let you poison people" is somehow such a cute, out of left field confession of love. And yet, somehow the dots do seem to connect in Koyama's brain.
And the poor boys, they both suffered so much they deserved a happy ending. And yet in all that angsting there were something things that cracked me up.
I love SUGOI SHIGE ... that's such a perfect moment and you've definitely gotta have a catchcry.
And the other line that totally made me laugh out loud, after already chuckling over I imagine the squinty eyed one is the holdout -
was this line: I do feel sorry for Kato! 10 years of waiting for someone to get a clue is enough to make anyone a clumsy fuck.That totally cracked me up

Wow, can I just say that I loved each bit of this? I loved the concept, loved the little mystery bit you wove in about what the real purpose of the show was, loved the idea of the tv show as something that a) Japan TV would show and b) would be a perfect vehicle for someone like Shige who is somewhat coordinated and physical, but is not a classic sportsman, as it would pull in the ordinary viewer. loved the interactions between KoyaShige, the respect and the understanding and the trust...and that Shige's mom trusts Koyama to look after him. The Sugoi Shige bit was fabulous, and and and and damn it I kind of wish we really had footage of that....would make a perfect bookend for Soukon. Loved this, I think you did a great job!

I'm Sorry it took me so long to respond. I got very behind on things while I was on vacation and then all the NEWS news happened.
Anyway I'm glad you liked it. This is the longest fic I have ever written and though the concept was what I had always planned I never intended for it to be so long. Yes it would be wonderful to see them hosting a TV show like that. I think they could really do that kind of format justice.
