I thought you absolutely nailed the pacing of a Supernatural episode, and I adored the subtle digs at being like the show. ^_^
Massu and Ryo's dynamic was so good. Just the right amount of affection and awkwardness and knowing when to just let things slide. Ryo was sooooo adorably gruff! I also loved Massu and Tego's friendship and the eventual shading of Massu's old life into his new one.
Just, so well done! Great plot, great characterizations, and great humor! I especially loved the bit about Ryo and his lack of sawed off shotguns. And this: Masuda sipped at his coke and refrained from pointing out that Ryo had called fan death a "load of horse shit" quite loudly on numerous occasions. totally made me giggle.
