Thank you for reminding me of the Thackery T. Lambshead Pocket Guide - it's a book I've been wanting for ages and keep forgetting the name of. Must put that down on my to-buy list now. (I could wait a few months and steal it off one of the student medics I'm living with next year, as I saw the book on their coffee table the last time I visited the house, but that wouldn't be fair, would it now?)
Also, that photo of Easy in 1947 is amazing. It's so odd seeing them as civilians! Not to mention that Bill and Frannie are just adorable, Shames is a lot prettier in real life than he ever was in the series... and man, I am so disappointed that there was a guy in Easy called Buck Rogers and he never got so much as a mention in the show. Buck Rogers!

Oh gosh, seriously! I'm somewhat amazed by how much Frannie looks like my sister, actually. They look so damn happy, though: it's really lovely to see, given the givens. And YES. Too many Bucks, I guess, but still! I keep wanting to add "IN THE 25th CENTURY!!" to his name.
