If anything comes to mind, I'll be sure to let you know. Hope your music video's successful, though, and good luck! I hope you find some time to enjoy our city while you're down here.

First off, welcome! I think you'll have a fantastic time.

Frenchman Street is where a lot of local musicians play, and there is a Latin club there that might be either a good setting or a good venue for merrymaking.

Just about any good travelogue or tour book will be able to tell you about lots of the pretty that can be found in New Orleans. The length of St. Charles Avenue is probably the most beautiful street I've seen in America, lined by gorgeous old trees and mansions. Audubon Park is also a pretty idyllic setting.

I don't know the rules for acquiring permits for shooting; the City of New Orleans website might be able to point you to better information on that point.

City Park would be an interesting locale for a video, the butterfly area behind the Zoo is nice too.
The people make New Orleans, you will see, they are almost as friendly as they are fun. Hope you pass a good time.

I think it all depends on the mood of the song. If it's light and carefree, definitely one of the parks or Uptown. There's Pravda in the French Quarter if it's something darker or sultry. The carousels at City Park or the Audubon Zoo are fun. rent a streetcar and shoot on there, riding up and down St. Charles Avenue.

If the vibe of the song is right for it, you might also want to check out a cemetery. I recommend the Lafayette Cemetery on 4th St..
