Vacation
Going to Canada for a much needed vacation. I'll be mostly unplugged while gone. Taking my laptop, but no internet. See you in two weeks! -
New PC
Well there comes a time when you have to get a new PC. In this case it was a video card that prompted this. Basically my wife's video card failed, and while shopping around I noticed the fazing out of AGP cards. Most good cards have moved to PCI Express only. Mac Convert?
So if I have an iPod, and iMac, and my new laptop is a PowerBook, would that make me a Mac Convert. I still have many PC's, but I am really pleased with the new MacOS, and the smooth fast performance. I mean honestly, the Macs all boot faster than programs open on the PC's. WTF?!
Well I came into work today and found out that I could not send any emails! I checked and other people could around me. Well being a tech I tried re-doing everything and disabling everything on my system. Still had the error and could not telnet into any server on port 25. I changed my IP and it worked fine. Mac is back!
Now honestly I must say I never thought of myself as a Mac person. However I was really jonesing for my Mac over the time it was being repaired. It is just a superior multimedia center over my Linux, or Windows Machines. I litterally could not go back to watching videos on any other machine.
