Well there comes a time when you have to get a new PC. In this case it was a video card that prompted this. Basically my wife's video card failed, and while shopping around I noticed the fazing out of AGP cards. Most good cards have moved to PCI Express only. Also most stores had a slim selection of AGP cards (that I would want). As well we had all 32 bit systems and so it would appear time to get a 64 bit PC with PCI Express.
Normally I build all my own machines, but I have been out of that loop for a bit, and have lost touch with it due to all the new technology coming out. You can read that as I was too lazy to figure out which motherboard, etc I wanted. I mean you have several different sockets for 64 bit AMD chips. You even have multiple types of PCI Express. So I took the easy way out and customized an AlienWare 7500. I am pretty excited to see it when it gets here, and how it preforms.
