Gi, myself, and Gi's cousin Jason went to the New York Anime Festival on Saturday. It was the first year of this con, but it's run by the people who do NY Comic-Con, so I had high hopes. As a convention, I guess it was OKAY, but the day was definitely a good time hanging out with psychelock & hatefulsarang and other friends, so who cares. aww thanks, i heart my boots! the only thing about them i dislike is the back. on the ones i bought there is a zipper going up the back middle, so i dont have a white stripe over it like there is supposed to be. i wasnt going to bother, but i do think im gonna fix it now.

OMG that looks like so much fun! I wish I could have gone! But bummer no luck :( Too much crap to do, and hella long drive to get over there (Boston, why are you so far away from everywhere else?)

At AUSA there was a booth that had a framed image of the sexy sexy sexy boys from "Saiyuki," and it was fucking SIGNED by Kazuya Minekura herself. I drooled over it for quite a while, but they wanted $400. The girl at the booth sighed and said they'd had it a while - but no one had the money to buy it, and she wished they'd sell it soon. Maybe... if they show up at AB08 and they still have it, I'll see if I can talk them down to $300.

Boston really is far from everything, you're right. it's a good thing it's such a nice city! maybe you can make it to AnimeNEXT in June, it's right near the city, but at a much more favorable time of year.

dude im dying about my banner, i LOVE IT LOVE IT. and that Saiyuki thing sounds fucking great! i know people think we're crazy for wanting things that are so much money, but i know how you feel, totally 100%.

Whoa, eyeliner is totally failing on my part. Thanks for the pic. I needed some pictures of me and Kyio twilightbridge and I as Minato and Junpei.

But I must say, that ceiling shot is the best picture all con.

sorry the pic is a little weird! it's not BLURRY per se, but my camera def did something strange. i was playing around with the settings last week trying to learn more about my camera, and i think i left something weird set. you guys looked awesome though!!! when i first glanced at you, i did think you were a guy until my brain processed the "Laurie, you KNOW THAT FACE" message lol. which is definitely awesome!

HAHAHA i love the ceiling shot. im so glad she didnt delete it after it happened.

It's okay. It's actually the only picture I've seen of us thus far. LOL That why I posted the picture of Junpei on my journal so people could put it together because even my friends and coworkers couldn't recognize me on Halloween. haha. <3

Ceiling pic ftw! Um.... why are you so hot? Oh and how about that scary guido with no voice on the train! And DUDE I didn't notice the belt either. I think I saw the OTHER orihime's belt but I was too excited to see you guys fighting/pimping that I didn't even process the thought...hmm did laurie forget her belt? lol. Does that make me slightly mentally retarded?

HAHAHAHA the voiceless train guido!!! i was also gonna talk about our lovely parking garage friend, but i didnt b/c I just would have gotten pissed again lol. im sorry i dropped that btw. dont let me hold onto those anymore, i lost the one at Katsu too. DUH i'm so smart.

haha no way you're not retarded! i looked right at her like 50 times and i didnt process it either. but thank GOD, cause if i had noticed i would have been so upset for the rest of the day.

my favorite picture ever if the one where i have your arm on. we'll have to reenact it at Katsu with the same costumes, but this time with my belt.
