For once, Joshua awoke before the rooster could wake him. That didn't make him any less grumpy. If anything, he was peeved that he had one less thing to complain about to distract him from the tepid shower. Joshua turned on the clock CD ( Read more... )

WILLOW ENTERS

Willow opened her eyes., a little dazed after the teleporting..
She could hear the strains of the snoopy dance music coming from inside the large house she found herself lying in front of with everything she had teleported. Nothing had gone missing… by some miracle or chance of fate…Even though as of late, Fate had proved to be a utter bitch to Willow.
She gathered up the her bags and adjusted the back pack as she stood up…
She knock on the door… refusing to give up on manners… at least not yet.

She waited a few moments and then screamed:
“hello… any one here. .Xander?”

[Joshua] Somebody's Knocking, Should I Let Them In? lord_of_ithaca September 30 2006, 01:13:26 UTC
It took a moment for the fact that something was knocking at the door to register with Joshua. He probably would have dismissed it as his imagination had it not been Willow's scream. A voice! A human voice! Joshua rushed to the front door, a fork with syrup-dripping toaster waffle on it in hand. Somehow, despite his ungainly haste, he managed to avoid stubbing his sock clad toes on anything. Later, he would berate his incaution, after all, the knock and the voice could have been that of the centaur or something even worse, but for now such thoughts were lost at the sound of a living voice after all these weeks. He opened the door, the early morning coolness reminding him as he did so, that boxers and socks were not quite the usual door greeting attire.

Willow’s left eyebrow quirked upward when the door opened and there stood this guy wearing nothing but striped socks and blue and black boxers.

“ Ok.. You’re not Xander.”
Willow felt as if all this work, and the risks she took had just fallen flat.

She was wearing a pair of ripped jeans, a dingy blue tank top, old converse sneakers and a old army green jacket with patches on them. Her red hair was in low ponytail and clearly hadn't been washed in a few days. She had a large black trash bag filled with stuff, two duffels, and a large green camping backpack.
She looked like she had been to edges of hell and back. She stood there, tired, worn-out, and just tuckered out.
“ Excuse me, where am I?”

To say that Joshua was underwhelmed by the woman's reaction was putting it mildly. He was glad to see anyone and here she was, expecting someone in particular. Still. he'd be polite. "The Amicks' old place," replied Joshua. He continued, having misheard the unfamiliar name, "The Sanders' place isn't much farther, but there isn't anyone there."

There was as awkward pause as he looked past Willow. He noticed the lack of a new vehicle and assumed she'd been traveling on foot. "Name's Joshua," he said. "You look like you could use a hot meal, a hot shower, and a soft bed. I can offer two of them, plus a cold shower, if you're interested."

"Or is that who you were expecting?" asked Joshua of the woman, as he pointed with the fork toward the helmeted man. A dollop of syrup flicked off the fork as he did so, landing on Willow. Now things made more sense, thought Joshua. These two must have heard the radio broadcast and had agreed by phone to come here separately from wherever it was that they'd being hiding out from Fate's Handmaiden.

Shawn decided that he needed to make his way up and introduce himself since it seemed the man was now pointing at him. He removed his helmet and set it on his motorcycle, grabbing his saddle bags and making his way up to the door. He ran his fingers through his hair because helmet hair was not the way to meet people.

"Hello there. You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys. I thought I was the last person on Earth. My name's Shawn by the way." He found himself babbling and was amazed it was coherent. It'd been so long since he'd had someone other than himself to talk to he almost couldn't get his moutn to stop moving long enough for the others to introduce themselves.

She looks at Joshua, and then Shawn.
Okay..
“I’m Willow. And you are Shawn and you are …?’
Willow stood there exhausted.. And just wondered if she could simply collapse Right on the front step.

“I have really been traveling a really long way, if your offers of warm food, and a bed and a working shower, and not bathing in river are still open.. I’ll take it.”

Shawn looked at the man in the boxers, his excitement evident.

"You have a shower?" He asked. It'd been a while since he'd had an actual shower, using mainly babywipes to give himself a spit bath whenever he could. Shawn then looked at Willow and saw the bags she had with her.

"And you obviously have food....." His stomach growled loud enough to be heard by all at the thought of something other than the power bars and water he'd managed to fit into his saddle bags.

Shawn smiled and took the offered bag of candy. He hadn't been able to find any candy, all of the stores he'd come across had been cleaned out except for the GNC he'd managed to locate. He had a stock of power bars and water and vitamins, but that was about it.

"Thanks." He ripped into the bag and poured the candy into his mouth, a couple of them escaping and ending from the corners of his mouth.
